quell memento has game controller controls

The game does now support controllers, but the buttons should only display if you press controller buttons, and should disappear when the touch screen is used.

Are you seeing them the whole time?

Which android tablet do you own?

At least now I have an idea why my screen changes to (and keeps) showing A, B, and X identifiers on my nook tablet HD.

I bought Quell Memento through Barnes & Noble for nook just a few weeks ago & got the "controller" indicators on the screen during my second game. It looked and acted like a programming bug; I can't exit (Back out of) the game when they are on. Restarting my nook might get me one game without them. I only have touch interface, so I don't know why they come up, but other areas of the game also exhibit self-movement (without me interacting with screen) as others indicate here.

I see the buttons all the time. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 running Android 4.1.2. I can send a screenshot, if that would help. Thanks.

Prize page glitch?.

"Prize" page not working correctly. I've just started but I like to check my achievements, etc. Unfortunately this section seems to run through the different sections automatically and very quickly. It ends at the jewel page, but puts me at chapter (section?) 7. I am unable to go to the other page. I have the Nook HD+.

There is a bug in which the game is wrongly detecting an attached controller device. This is causing certain menus to be cycled through as if an input has been made.

We are currently working on a fix.

I have the same issue as Cathrin. In addition I can't exit the game in any other way than using the home button. Backbutton on the start screen does not work.

Hi all,

We have a potential fix for the controller icon / UI issue, although as we haven't encountered it personally, we really need someone who has, to test it before we make updates for the whole series.

Quell Free version 1.76 on Google Play, has the potential fix in it. Can anyone download it and see if the issue is fixed? Thanks in advance.

I downloaded Quell Free 1.76. No game controller icons and back button is working as expected. Your fix seem to work. Thanks.

Oh no. After a while a message appeared "Game controller detected" and it's all back to annoying game controller mode again. Sorry. This happened when I reached 1928 stage 2, "Frozen".

There's now a version of Quell Free 1.77 which we have high hopes for.

If this doesn't fix it, we'll add a Disable Controller option in the next update.

Sorry, after a while "Game controller detected" appears again.

That's odd. So we're still not sure what's causing it, but Quell Free 1.78 has an option to disable the controller once it is detected. This should help until we figure out what the actual cause is.
