Backup/restore game progress

Hello, I currently don't see a way to backup game progress for Quell or Quell Reflect on Android. This would be a great feature for those of us that have multiple devices or when you reset your phone.
Hi Scott,

thanks for your feedback. This is a good idea, and I've added it to the list for our programmer to investigate.
I would like to second this. I have lot of progress on my last device, but cannot move that to my new one. Sad.

I think this may be a bad idea if it means that Quell will require special permissions to run.

Currently Quell (and Quell: Reflect) does not require any special permissions to run. In my opinion this is fantastic! Besides being a great game, it is one of the main reasons I bought it.

Maybe Quell coud use Google's backup API (again, if it does not require special permissions).
Having just lost all my progress with the latest update, I'd like to add my support for this feature! As far as the permissions goes, I wouldn't mind if it required more permissions. I would trust FTG to only add the permissions they need, and to not do anything hinky with them.
Nick - get the latest update (1.6), and you should see your progress restored. Let me know if you do not :)
boadle, worked a treat. Cheers for that!
Excellent! That's great news!
can one move the progress file from one device to another? where is it?
I'd appreciate a response to Y. Brevic's question. I have purchased a new Kindle Fire and want to transfer my progress to it from my old Kindle Fire. Is there a file that I could copy across devices that contains my progress? I seriously don't want to have to start over from scratch!
Hi Carol, Brevic,

'Whispersync' support (as it's known on Kindle) is on our schedule, and we'll be getting to it soon.

In the meantime, I can offer you a cheat that unlocks all levels:

Quell:
Unlock all levels by tapping the plaques in order: 1939, 1943, 1941, 1945, 1941, 1939

Quell Reflect:
Unlock all levels by tapping the plaques in order: 1967, 1972, 1970, 1974, 1970, 1967

Thanks for your patience!
broadle: Thanks for the info. I will lose access to my device when I switch. Are there any files I can copy to preserve the data until an update is made? (I am using a phone though, not a Kindle.)
Hello again. I am trying the do the unlock code on my Galaxy SII but it doesn't seem to work. Is this only for Kindle again? I've tried clicking on the first plaque for each year listed, and I've tried clicking on all 3 plaques for that year, and I've tried restarting the app in between attempts.
Thanks for your help.
De regstered: It sounds like you're confusing the picture frames with the plaques.

The plaques are to the right of the pictures, and have dates on them.

Hope this helps!
Ah, yes. I actually did try that once or twice, but I must have misclicked. Thanks.

And I'll assume I won't be able to transfer my progress then (at least without root). Oh well.
De regstered: We are investigating Cloud Support on Android.

For now, here is a cheat to unlock all levels:

Quell:
Unlock all levels by tapping the plaques in order: 1939, 1943, 1941, 1945, 1941, 1939
Reset hint tokens to 10: 1943, 1939, 1941, 1937, 1941, 1943

Quell Reflect:
Unlock all levels by tapping the plaques in order: 1967, 1972, 1970, 1974, 1970, 1967
Reset hint tokens to 10: 1972, 1967, 1970, 1964, 1970, 1972
Lewis,

Just got a new Galaxy S4 and installed v. 1.72. As I had Quell Reflect on my old device, would like to transfer achievement to the new S4.

You info to unlock all level will solve this - thanks.

However, it is not working with this version. Is it supposed to?

Frank
Lewis - sorry, I must have mis-communicated. I am using a new phone, the Galaxy S4, which is Android 4.2.2. Quell Reflect works great on this phone.

My question is the unlock sequence that you posted above (Quell Reflect:
Unlock all levels by tapping the plaques in order: 1967, 1972, 1970, 1974, 1970, 1967), does not work. Is this still the correct sequence?

I just got this new phone and would like to unlock so I don't have to repeat all previously-played levels.

Thanks!

Frank
Hi Frank -

Sorry, I misunderstood the question. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, that is the correct sequence for unlocking Quell Reflect levels. Will check with our programmer for suggestions as to why that might not be working. As far as I know it should work.
This worked for me last time I needed to switch ( the 1939.. series) but now it does not. I only get the Choose Stage/Shelf is Incomplete messages
Hi Frank

Pressing the plaques themselves now displays the shelf summary. In the latest versions, to activate the cheat, don't tap on the plaques themselves, but slightly right of the plaques.

I hope this helps!
That is it, thanks.
